Senior Software Engineer - Application Report
Developer
Type of Position: Full-Time
employment with client.
Sr. Application Report Developer of a web-enabled application
with the primary responsibility being report development. The
secondary responsibility will be Java Development. The essential
duties and responsibilities include:
Develop and complete unit and
integration testing of software components including reports to
ensure proper and efficient execution, as well as compliance to
the business and technical requirements.
Interpret business requirements
and translate into conceptual and logical design.
Create and maintain technical
design specifications.
Work with the team to develop
standards and processes.
Analyze the business requirements
and contrast to feasibility of design within time and cost
constraints, exercising appropriate judgment between what is
requested and what is feasible.
Help allocate, coordinate, and
communicate design and development work among members of the
team.
Lead structured technical and
functional walkthroughs of specifications and programming logic
with project team members.
Ensure production of
documentation to enable appropriate levels of support and
extendibility.
Support acceptance testing to
ensure end user requirements are satisfied appropriately.
Provide technical support for
applications in production; handle on-call issues.
Work well with all levels of
employees across a large project with over 50 people involved.
Identify and resolve issues and
risks.
Identify and/or clarify issues
impending development progress.
Work with the management team to
prioritize, communicate, and coordinate the implementation of
changes, defects, and enhancements.
Provide status updates to the
project manager.
Required Skills:
Minimum of three (3) years of
experience with Crystal Reports, Crystal Enterprise, Business
Objects or other Reporting tools with working knowledge of
developing and implementing complex operational and analytical
Reports including drilldowns and sub-reports.
Minimum of two (2) years of
experience in object-oriented application development principles
and practices.
Must possess working knowledge of
Microsoft Office desktop application software.
Bachelor's
degree from a four year college or university in Computer
Science or equivalent.

The DataMart team needs qualified individuals to design, code,
test, maintain and document Internet/Intranet reporting
applications. Engineers will also develop and successfully
complete unit and integration testing of software to ensure
proper and efficient execution, as well as compliance to the
business and technical requirements. Lead structured technical
and functional walkthroughs of specifications and programming
logic with project team members. Update documentation to record
software modifications and upgrades. Consult with other
engineers as required. Participate in acceptance testing to
ensure end user requirements are satisfied appropriately This
position will be expected to pull data from various repositories
into succinct reports that will highlight Car Sales business
performance and “what if” scenarios for analysis.

employment with client.
Individual
will be responsible for the preparation, execution, analysis and
reporting of complex software applications and system
functionality. The Automated Test Engineer will develop
automated test scripts based on existing manual test procedures
and/or new scenarios identified from Production issues. The Test
Engineer will also execute automated test procedures for regular
regression testing or in the event of emergency Production
Support releases. Responsibilities also include debugging failed
scripts, performing root cause analysis, logging defects
appropriately and/or repairing the script. Direct communication
and collaboration with ALL members of the entire Test Team is
essential.

tools (Robot Class, preferred) or equivalent depth in similar

3+ Years experience supporting a data-driven test automation
methodology, unattended running, error recovery, and automated
checking of results.
3+ Years experience in hands-on software and system testing
(mainly web based applications).
3+ Years experience in Microsoft Access with specific experience
in queries, reports, multi-table joins, SQL.
3+ Years experience in Microsoft Excel and Macros.
